Cedar Grilled Steelhead (Summer Grilling Kit Recipe)

Servings: 4-6


(2) 1 lb skin-on, steelhead fillet

1 tbsp crushed mustard seed

1 tbsp herbed salt

1 tbsp olive oil

4 oz jar Dijon Horseradish sauce

2 cedar planks

4 lemon wedges



  1. Soak cedar planks in warm water for 15 minutes.

  2. Preheat grill to medium heat (~400 degrees F).

  3. Remove planks from water and place steelhead fillets skin-side down on top - 1 fillet per plank.

  4. Mix mustard seed and herbed salt.  Lightly coat flesh of both fillets.

  5. Drizzle olive oil on both fillets.

  6. Place cedar planks directly on grill and cook for 15 minutes.

  7. Let fillets rest for 10 minutes.  Finish with sprinkle of salt.  Serve with lemon wedges and our Dijon Horseradish dipping sauce.
